Premiere: Dark Divinity Drop Punishing Video 'Exegesis'
North Island-spanning metal supergroup Dark Divinity have shared a slick video for their tune ‘Exegesis’. Directed by Jesse Wheeler of Cloudfall Media, the clip comprises of red-hued live footage shot at Wellington’s heavy music mecca Valhalla, interspersed with imagery of a menacing snake consuming a lesser creature whole. The band features members of Into Orbit and Destructatron, songwriter and drummer Ian Moir shared some insights into the videos conception...
“We’ve been playing 'Exegesis' last at our shows and it always gets a great reaction so we wanted to capture a live performance of it for a video clip. Our singer Alan is from Hamilton and is in another band up there called Destructatron. He brought his bandmate Jesse Wheeler down to film our opening set for Depths last month and put together a video clip for the track. It was the best show we’ve played so far, and he really captured that energy in the video.”
