
Premiere: Swallow The Rat Unveil Eerie Video 'Echoes Of A Tide'
Auckland guitar-wranglers Swallow The Rat have shared a moody video for their latest single 'Echoes of a Tide', sounding in places not unlike a skull-crushing meeting point of Bailter Space's fuzzed-out heaviness and Sonic Youth's mystic proclamations. The accompanying black and white video by drummer Hayden Fritchley takes the tune into rural gothic realms, he says "for the video, I gathered footage from a day spent with the band. It has a documentary photography vibe to it, kinda eerie and dark. Quintessentially NZ."
Comprised of members of Kerretta, Lost Rockets, My Education and Deathbeam, the band have a couple of forthcoming shows up their sleeve including Tauranga's Loserpalooza early next month and a gig with Glamours and Glove at Auckland's Whammy Backroom on Saturday 16th June.
