Beastwars Announce Nationwide Tour
Wellington heavy music icons Beastwars are touring throughout Aotearoa this winter, following excellent news that singer Matt Hyde is in remission after being diagnosed with cancer in 2017. They're back after a long break period which followed the release of their uncompromisingly punishing third studio album The Death Of All Things in 2016. They'll be playing with killer artists around the country, including Earth Tongue, Old Loaves, and a rare appearance from Dunedin's Operation Rolling Thunder. Hyde shared some words on his return to local stages...
"It's a really nice feeling to be healthy again... The amount of fans that reached out to me while I was ill was mind blowing. I never thought that there were so many people that our music had touched and connected with. While health is on my side we thought that we should play some shows again. It's crazy that getting sick is the thing that has brought us back together."
