One third of New Zealand independent music titans (and New Zealand Music Hall of Fame inductees) The Clean, New York-based songwriter Hamish Kilgour has unveiled his latest album Finklestein, after teasing us with a pair of excellent singles. The new collection is a charming ride through psych-inflected guitar-pop and meticulously crafted sonic dreamscapes, as befitting the record's origins as a children's book for the artist's son. Lovers of Kilgour's off-kilter and fresh-faced sound (also displayed in The Great Unwashed and The Mad Scene) will be right at home, there's plenty of delights for newcomers too - check out current radio hit 'Under The Moon' for starters.
