Blair Parkes Unveils Dream-Pop Album 'Always Running'

New Brighton via Christchurch singer / multi-instrumentalist Blair Parkes has shared his latest album always running, following on the heels of shoegazey lead single 'heavy lifting'. Parkes' extensive discography includes work with early Flying Nun Records groups All Fall Down and The Letter 5, as well as later outfits The L.E.D.s, Condensations, and Cardigan Bay, his new eight song collection presents an infectious selection of fuzz-guitar pop with plenty of motorik oomph provided by drummer Ryan Chin. Parkes' voice floats dreamily above always running's swirling sonic landscape alongside Miss Mercury's backing vocals.
