Dbldbl Drops Three Track 'Soft Drink' EP

Dbldbl aka Liam Dargaville has shared Soft Drink, a fizzy three track collection beamed straight from the dome of the Auckland-based rapper and COOL TAN member. Psychedelic beat production meets sharp as a tack lyrical wordplay, with dubbed-out vocals ping-ponging around the background of the artist's unsparingly reflective narratives. They'll be dispensing killer rhymes at a release party this Friday with sonic buds Stay Foolish as backing band along with Randa and Imugi <이무기 at Auckland's The Wine Cellar, and will perform with Stay Foolish at The Others Way multi-venue festival in late August. "I booked in the Soft Drink EP release before I started writing it. It hasn’t been that long since my last release but the thought of content staying relevant is always on my mind. So I figured it was time. They turned out pretty bar heavy (unsurprisingly) stacked with all my outstanding gripes. Just an A to B of beefs I needed to flush out (gross imagery I know) before I try something new with Dbldbl. Who knows what that’ll be. But I’ve already booked my next show so I better start writing."
