Celebrated New York songwriter Suzanne Vega swung into New Zealand this week for shows in Wellington and Auckland, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of her classic album Solitude Standing, as well as the 25th anniversary of her 99.9F° record. Supported by local indie-folk artist Mel Parsons, Vega's performance at The Opera House saw the artist play stripped back renditions of her songs accompanied by the remarkably fluid bass playing of Michael Visceglia.
