
Lawrence Arabia Shares Single 'Meaningless Words'

Auckland-based songsmith Lawrence Arabia aka James Milne has shared ‘Meaningless Words’, the seventh instalment from his ambitious year-long 2018 Singles Club project. Milne's graceful yet biting tune is augmented by the musical talents of Peau Halapua on violin, Tim Stewart (Hopetoun Brown) on trumpet, and irrepressible sonic adventurer Jeff Henderson on clarinet and saxophones. The song’s artwork features an illustration of a rhyming dictionary, a favourite tool of oft-uninspired lyricists. Is ‘Meaningless Words’ a cheeky dig at bromidic content creation?
