
Wellington's Plaines Unveil Self-Titled Debut Album
Wellington four-piece Plaines caught local ears with their very fine song 'Knuckles', and have now released their self-titled debut album, featuring eight dazed tunes including the aforementioned track and recent single 'What More Than The Sun'. Featuring members of Fields, Charlie Freak and Desperate Model, Plaines' new collection encompasses soaring sun-bleached dream-rock, mesmerising mantras and blissed-out dronescapes, the band's sonic creativity in lockstep with their adventurous multimedia live approach featuring a VJ, two videographers and a merch designer / stylist. The band will be hitting the stage at Wellington's San Fran this Wednesday alongside Spanish folk artists Felpa, the first leg of their imminent five-date national tour.
