Ty Segall Covers 'I'm A Man' By Spencer Davis Group

It's been about five seconds since US psych-rock juggernaut Ty Segall dropped a record, the latest being his collaborative album with White Fence Joy in July. Luckily the prolific artist has rectified that situation with the announcement of Fudge Sandwich, a collection of covers releasing this October. He's also unveiled the first single from that album, a fuzzed up and furiously tangled re-imagining of Spencer Davis Group's 1967 classic 'I'm a Man'. Going by this track and his superbly fried recent version of Hot Chocolate's 'Everyone's a Winner', Fudge Sandwich will be well worth chowing down on. The tracklist boasts covers of songs by Funkadelic, Sparks, Amon Düül II, Gong, John Lennon and more, with a tantalising version of War's 'Lowrider' jumping out from the list.
