Christchurch's The Ruling Elite Unleash 'Alfred J Silverfoot III' EP

Christchurch guitar wranglers The Ruling Elite are jumping in the van for a head-spinning South Island tour with fellow Cantabrians Salad Boys this November and December, and to whip up even more excitement for the shows they've unveiled a brand new collection intriguingly titled Alfred J Silverfoot III. The new EP features seven raggedy-edged tunes showcasing the storytelling gifts of vocalist Andrew O'Connell (of local legends Palace Of Wisdom and Pavlovs Puss), alongside high-wire instrumentation provided by bandmates Rory Dalley, Dave Branton, Chris Andrews and Mike Boulden. Off the dome comparisons with literary rock combos such as Country Teasers or Dan Melchior und Das Menace wouldn't be out of order, the regal crew's collection certainly demands your listening attention and patronage, if not your actual servitude.
