Experimental free jazz / improvisation unit The Melancholy Babes have unleashed their senses-defying latest collection Shingles, a live album featuring fresh auditory hallucinations conjured by the trio of Jeff Henderson, Tom Callwood and Anthony Donaldson. The four wide-ranging tracks encompass on-a-dime virtuoso mind-melds, 'do-your-own thing' instrumental bar banter, and full blown psychedelic freakouts, recorded in Auckland's Audio Foundation and Wellington's Pyramid Club.
