Watch Carb On Carb's Video 'It's Been A Rough Year'
Auckland emo-punk duo carb on carb aka Nicole Gaffney and James Stuteley have unveiled a stylish video for ‘It’s been a rough year’, drawn from their sophomore album for ages which released to significant worldwide acclaim in May. Directed by Adrian Harris and starring Zuri Gaffney The Dog, the clip captures nostalgia and teenhood with a classic makeover montage and visual tips of the hat to Avril Lavigne, teen mags and boy band posters (plus a flyer for Nicole Gaffney's old band Moron Says What). The single was inspired by a difficult year for the duo and their friends, yet is also uplifting as Gaffney sings “You’re in control / You’re not alone.” The band are supporting local punk-pop icons Elemeno P at this weekend's shows at Auckland's Nectar tonight and Wellington's Meow on Saturday 3rd November. 'for ages' is out now via Papaiti Records / Black Wire / Flying Out.
