Mel Parsons Unveils Single 'Just 'Cause You Don't Want Me' + Video
New Zealand indie-folk artist Mel Parsons has shared a stylish video for latest single ‘Just ‘Cause You Don’t Want Me’ in advance of the release of her fourth studio album Glass Heart, produced by acclaimed producer Mitchell Froom (Crowded House, Suzanne Vega, Elvis Costello). The award-winning songwriter wrote her new tune during a "punishing" two-month solo US tour as she reflected upon the end of a relationship. The accompanying video directed by Tim McInnes shows a band of duplicates of Parsons dressed as different characters; a construction worker on drums, an 80s keyboardist, and an oversized-blazer-wearing bassist. Parsons is celebrating Glass Heart's release in late November with a national tour kicking off on Wednesday 5th December at Wellington’s Meow, with subsequent shows lined up for Auckland’s Anthology Lounge and Christchurch’s Lyttelton Arts Factory.
