Philip H. Anselmo And The Illegals To Headline Thrash Blast Grind Festival Tour 2019

Tuesday 27th November, 2018 11:00AM

The multi-city Thrash Blast Grind festival tour is bringing its ear-shattering onslaught back to Auckland and Wellington in March 2019, with infamous ex-Pantera vocalist Philip H. Anselmo and his group The Illegals set to blast local punters into total oblivion alongside returning Australian grind masters King Parrot for the travelling metal event. Anselmo was Pantera's lead vocalist from 1986 until their dissipation in 2003, singing on such crucial records as Far Beyond Driven and Vulgar Display of Power, and dropped this year his powerful second solo album Choosing Mental Illness As a Virtue. King Parrot are heading back our way with latest record Ugly Produce in tow after tearing it up at last year's Thrash Blast Grind festival. Here's the details for next year...

UPDATE 3/12/18: the previously announced Wellington event has shifted to Christchurch's The Empire...

UPDATE 19/03/19: following last week's terror attack in Christchurch and much discussion in the community regarding his past actions, Philip H. Anselmo's tour of New Zealand is now cancelled...

THRASH BLAST GRIND FEST is back to appease the eyes and ears of metalheads in March 2019! This new edition will be headlined by none other than the legendary Philip H. Joining Philip H. Anselmo and The Illegals on their debut NZ shows will be Housecore Records label mates and Aussie grind road dogs King Parrot who are fresh off the back of a US tour and an ARIA nomination for their brutally savage 2017 grind opus Ugly Produce.
