Cut Off Your Hands Drop Single 'On The Sea' + Video
Recently-revived Auckland indie groovers Cut Off Your Hands have unveiled a fresh single titled 'On The Sea', ahead of their upcoming appearance at Tāmaki Makaurau's end of year seaside knees-up Wondergarden Festival 2018. The band's latest tune created in collaboration with studio wiz Jeremy Toy (She's So Rad) continues a late-career winning streak established with recent singles 'Hate Somebody' and 'Higher Lows and Lower Highs'. Inspired by US remix innovator Larry Levan, 'On The Sea' leans into punk-funk baselines, ear tickling melodies, and questing reverbed vocals to whip up a club-focussed collision of Madchester-era baggy-dance and DFA's cool as fuck dancefloor steez. The song is accompanied by a psychedelic video directed by Benjamin Zambo for you to buzz out to, experience 'On The Sea' here...
Cut Off Your Hands are playing with eight-piece band at Auckland's Wondergarden Festival on Monday 31st December with Nightmares on Wax (DJ Set), Dam-Funk, Kllo, Cut Off Your Hands, JessB, Ladi6, Katchafire, Avantdale Bowling Club, Matthew Young, HIGH HØØPS, Julien Dyne (DJ Set), K2K, Frank Booker, Peach Milk, Hugo Jay, Aw B, Fortunes and Tina Turntables.
