MeloDownz Announces Summer Tour + Drops Video 'Infinite' feat. COOPS

Avondale hip hop icon MeloDownz has announced a summer tour of Aotearoa in celebration of his newly-released Melo & Blues double-EP, and dropped a cruisey video for 'Infinite' from the collection featuring UK rapper COOPS. Directed by Connor Pritchard, the clip switches between MeloDownz riding around in a slick Cadillac around Auckland and COOPS navigating through the dark streets of London. The collaboration between the two artists sparked when Melodownz reached out to COOPS on Instagram after discovering him at a house party. Coincidentally, COOPS had also been watching Melodownz’ Colors session and was impressed by his poetic flow. 'Infinite' illustrates the coming-together of two artists from opposite ends of the world with a shared passion for hip-hop. MeloDownz shares in a statement...

"This is a perfect example of the universal lifestyle which is hip-hop. I feel this collaboration is necessary in terms of NZ rap and UK rap and I wanna bridge the gap in terms of collaborating with international artists. With the internet these days I guess its easy to make it happen if you approach it the right way."
