Pussy Riot To Perform At NZ Fringe Festival 2019

Russian punk-pop provocateurs Pussy Riot are performing at Wellington's San Fran in March, as part of NZ Fringe Festival 2019. The uncompromising, internationally famous masked protest group are the first act revealed for the Wellington-based arts festival, who are launching their full lineup today at 4.30pm. UPDATE 19/12/18: The event info for Pussy Riot: Riot Days has been revealed, the shows will feature three key original members, with both events showcasing live music plus AV: "Gaining global notoriety in 2012 when three members, Maria Alyokhina, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Yekaterina Samutsevich were imprisoned for “hooliganism motivated by religious hatred” for  their performance inside Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Saviour Pussy Riot has become synonymous with rebellion and freedom of expression.
