Auckland creative pals Dbldbl (Liam Dargaville of Cool Tan) and Trapjaw Kelpie have shared a candy-coated tune titled 'Holiday', drawn from their upcoming collaborative album Chip Buddies featuring previously released banger 'Bumpy'. An opening instrumental for the collection, 'Holiday' highlights Trapjaw Kelpie’s visionary production style, while Dbldbl kicks back on this one and provided some insight into the duo's upcoming release…
“'Holiday' is the intro instrumental to 'Chip Buddies'. Not only will the album be a collaboration but an excuse for me to showcase some of Tim's amazing production. Cos I know he wouldn't otherwise as he's unfortunately cursed by humbleness. Thankfully I'm super pushy which he doesn't seem to mind. Expect more instrumentals around the corner! There's no backstory to this one, it's just coincidentally called 'Holiday' and is being set free during this silly season.”
