Stress Ghetto + Total Ruin Unleash Split-Release

Stress Ghetto + Total Ruin Unleash Split-Release

Tuesday 15th January, 2019 11:39AM

Two of Wellington’s most sonically punishing bands - grindcore / powerviolence thugs Stress Ghetto and blackened noise punk bruisers Total Ruin - have joined forces for a ruthless 5” lathe cut record. Stress Ghetto cram six relentless tracks into half as many minutes with the force of a tropical cyclone, while Total Ruin build maniacal nihilism on a foundation of ruthless repetition. You can listen to both tracks from the collab here and nab a physical copy of the CD-sized release via local punk imprint Hairy Palm. The record was cut by John Harris of Christchurch's Ride On Super Sound store, turntable enthusiasts should note that its unconventional size makes some models unable to play it - as Hairy Palm head honcho Benny Mathews puts it “auto-return is a bitch”...

You can order your copy of Stress Ghetto + Total Ruin's limited edition 5" record here via Hairy Palm.
