Lawrence Arabia's Singles Club Album Release Tour Announced
Award-winning Auckland songwriter Lawrence Arabia aka James Milne is wrapping up his year-long Singles Club project with a much-teased new album and release tour with five piece band, happening in venues across Aotearoa this April. Milne's ambitious collection gathers together twelve songs, each originally released to the public on a monthly basis like clockwork from February 2018 onwards - with final single 'Just Sleep (Your Shame Will Keep)' out today, featuring legendary Beach Boys collaborator Van Dyke Parks!
A raft of special guests dropped by Lawrence Arabia's studio to contribute their talents to what could have been a solitary undertaking, including Hollie Fullbrook (Tiny Ruins), Heather Mansfield (Brunettes), Ryan McPhun (Ruby Suns) and Liam Finn. Hats off to Milne for concluding the one-of-a-kind project and taking listeners on a wild ride, his record is out on vinyl LP and retrofuturistic compact disc on Friday 29th March via Honorary Bedouin Records. Check out the tour info here, watch a short documentary on the collection directed by Florian Habicht (Kaikohe Demolition) and hear 'Just Sleep (Your Shame Will Keep)' below...
