Here's Five: Earthless Reveal Their Favourite Skaters

US stoner rock titans Earthless are shaking our shores mammothly for the first time later this month on their three date summer tour of Aotearoa. Their video for 'Volt Rush' features legendary skater T Spliff, in a nod to how tight Earthless is tied into the whole skate scene. Sticks and skinsman is San Diego legend Mario Rubalcaba, who in his earlier years was a professional skater not to mention he manned the drum thrones for Rocket From The Crypt and Off!. His first board in the seventies was a GAS (Great American Skateboard Company) and he says his first out of mind, out of body skating experience was his first time grinding a pool and getting air [see him here... dude's got style]. We asked Rubalcaba for his top five skaters from back in the day - to which he described them all as "Power ... Style ... and Grace." WARNING: plenty of 70s / 80s / 90s skater style and big boards...
