London-based touring tribute band The Smyths took over the stage at Wellington's San Fran to rattle off a hit-packed set of singalong favourites from Morrissey and Marr's peerless back catalogue as The Smiths. Given Morrissey's controversial recent public antics, The Smyths can arguably seem like a more enjoyable proposition than catching the original miserabilist in action – the band reportedly delivered the goods and more last night, and are primed to do so again this evening at Auckland's Tuning Fork.
