P.H.F. Covers Japanese Breakfast's 'Boyish'

Auckland punk innovator P.H.F. has dropped a surprise cover of US indie-pop songwriter Japanese Breakfast's dreamy favourite 'Boyish' onto his Soundcloud page. P.H.F.'s emotive reimagining of Michelle Zauner's tune sees him operating in the occasional cybernetic mode showcased on his 2015 insta-classic album Soft, sweeping listeners off their feet with pulsing electronic percussion, autotuned vox, throbbing bass and sparkling synth arpeggios. P.H.F.'s latest album I Hate Myself  was featured in our 2018 New Zealand Album Highlights and we can't wait to hear more from the prolific artist – dive into a stream of 'boyish' along with recent single 'eventair' below...
