Caught Live: Arctic Monkeys Play 'Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino' on Austin City Limits
Unless you've been sealed in a cave you'll know British indie-rock megastars Arctic Monkeys are returning to Aotearoa next week for a special headline event at Auckland's Spark Arena, their long-awaited first visit to our shores since 2014. Alex Turner's team are back celebrating the release of their Mercury Prize nominated sixth studio album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, which racked up a significant tally of achievements, hitting the number one album charts spots both in New Zealand and in the UK, where it was the band's sixth consecutive number one debut and the country's fastest selling vinyl release in 25 years. The Brit Award winning band are currently packing out venues across the globe and just polished off a triumphant performance at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday. To get you hyped for next week's show, here's superbly filmed recent live footage of the group playing the title track to their new record, unveiled last month by long-running US music series Austin City Limits...
