Royal Trux Return With First Album In Nineteen Years 'White Stuff'
US avant-rock legends Royal Trux aka the team of Jennifer Herrema (Black Bananas) and Neil Hagerty are back against the odds with White Stuff, their first studio album since all the way back in 2000. The one-time student radio staples deliver the goods from the get go, fans of the duo's frazzled riffage and philosophical, from-the-sticks wordplay will be like a dog with a bone with the new record. Guest rapper Kool Keith makes an appearance on 'Get Used To This', declaring "Royal Trux 2.0" over spacey synths and freewheeling licks. Royal Trux's records tend to relinquish their secrets the deeper you explore them, White Stuff comes across as a more substantial outing than their previous two albums Pound For Pound and Veterans Of Disorder. 'White Stuff' is out now via Fat Possum.
