Metallica + Slipknot New Zealand Show Announced

US metal gods Metallica are returning to Aotearoa this October, with support from masked monstrosities Slipknot for a headline event at Auckland's Mount Smart Stadium. Massively influential figureheads in the ear-bleeding realm of international heavy metal since their formation in 1981, this will be the first Australiasian appearance from James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich and the gang since 2013's touring bogan get-together Soundwave Festival. Metallica haven't played in New Zealand since 2010, they've since released 2016's Hardwired... to Self-Destruct as well as their infamous 2011 collaborative record with Lou Reed Lulu. You'd better dig out your best outfit because they're playing on Halloween, grip the details here...

METALLICA has confirmed its long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand. The band’s first concert dates in Australia since 2013, and first New Zealand show since 2010, will be:

The newly announced shows are Metallica’s first ever headline stadium plays in Australia and New Zealand. They continue the WorldWired Tour that has played 130+ shows across the world since its 2016 kick-off.

Special guests SLIPKNOT will provide support on all dates.
