Premiere: Reb Fountain Shares Single & Video 'Faster' + Announces New Album

Auckland songwriter Reb Fountain has announced a self-titled new album is heading our way this September, the keenly awaited follow-up to 2017's Little Arrows and her Hopeful & Hopeless EP, which won Fountain the 2018 Recorded Music NZ Best Country Music Artist and APRA Best Country Music Song awards. Produced by Dave Khan at Roundhead Studios, the collection promises to be a showcase for Fountain's noir punk-folk songwriting style, and is further teased by lead single 'Faster' which we're stoked to premiere here. The new song is a shimmering, gently paced ballad, with Fountain reflecting on the bold arrow of time over country-inflected guitars and sparkling flourishes of piano. 'Faster' comes along with a gorgeous video created by Lola, shot on vintage Super 8 Ektachrome film to compliment the tune's timeless feel. Reb Fountain is playing throughout Aotearoa over the next few weeks as support for The Veils frontman Finn Andrews' national tour – check out the live show info here and experience 'Faster' below...
