Caught Live: The Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra Play 'I Got Time'
Canadian folk travellers The Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra's visit to Aotearoa continues this week. They're following last weeks appearance at Wellingtons mammoth Cubadupa Festival with headline shows at Christchurch's Lyttelton Records and Auckland's Second Hand News Lounge, along with performances at Wanaka's Festival Of Colour and Bay of Islands' Upsurge Festival. Formed 2006, the hard-gigging five piece draw on each member's heritage – German Mennonite, Chinese, Dutch, Scottish, and Métis (French Indigenous) – to bring together the musically diverse worlds of roots, bluegrass, Flamenco, Celtic, gospel and more, frequently sung in multiple languages as expressed on their most recent collection, 2017's We Make Really Party. Scope out the tour details below and get a taste of this week's action with superbly shot footage by Amy Braun of TMO performing a stirring live rendition of 'I Got Time', in the Historic Clay District of Medicine Hat, Alberta...
