US songwriter Weyes Blood aka Natalie Mering has lifted the lid on her fourth studio album Titanic Rising, following a thrilling run of singles including the pulsing melodrama of 'Movies' and the deftly arranged piano-pop of 'Everyday'. The new long player is similarly widescreen and sweeping, engulfing listeners with lush orchestration and woozy electronics, with Mering's vocals sounding absolutely stunning throughout. Weyes Blood also appears on frequent collaborators Drugdealer's latest single 'Honey' and was last here in 2017 - crossed fingers she'll be bringing her epic new songs to Aotearoa soon.
