Lontalius Unveils Collection 'Surrender (2014-2017)'
LA-based, Pōneke-grown, bedroom-pop darling Lontalius aka Eddie Johnston has dropped a 6-track compilation, after first hinting at the release over a week ago. Surrender (2014-2017) is a series of demos, including previously released track 'sleep thru ur alarms', and he’s been sharing it online with the cryptic explanation, "before the album, this is my love letter". Last year, Johnston talked with our own Chris Cudby about the idea of a potential follow-up to his Taite-award nominated 2016 album I’ll Forget 17, saying "the plan from now on is release singles and play shows and just get something going, then maybe return for an album conversation". It seems Lontalius is letting fans know he’s had that conversation, and another album is on the horizon. Surrender (2014-2017) follows on from Lontalius' recent collaborations with Grammy Award-winning producer Om'Mas Keith (Frank Ocean, Jay Z) ‘I Wanted Him’, ‘That Includes You’ and ‘Optimistic’, and two 'feat' spots on RYAN Playground singles.
