Denzel Curry + Flying Lotus Drop Single 'Black Balloons Reprise'
Flying Lotus has shared one last single before unleashing Flamagra this Friday, his first album in five years. 'Black Balloons Reprise' is a follow-up to collaborator Denzel Curry’s 2018 tracks 'Black Balloons' and 'The Blackest Balloon' that featured on the US hip hop artist's (and Laneway Festival 2019 highlight) breakthrough album TA13OO. The addition of Curry on the latest Flamagra offering is no surprise, as he joins the increasingly impressive list of features on the album, namely David Lynch, Little Dragon, and Anderson .Paak. Of the dark new cut, Flying Lotus tweeted “That black balloons beat is dedicated to @madlib and @nowagain. When I was in college I heard quas”come on feet” it relit my love for sampling and eventually changed my world. Love to you legends” – in reference to sampling 'Come On Feet', a Quasimodo track from the turn of the century. Tune in to the latest FlyLo cut below…
Flying Lotus' 'Framagra' is out this Friday 24th May via Warp.
