Church & AP Announce Debut Album + Unveil Single 'Dandelion'

Friday 31st May, 2019 11:26AM

Auckland hip hop duo Church & AP have shared ‘Dandelion’, the first track from their highly-anticipated debut album, amid a ubiquitous zip-lipped marketing campaign. The new collection was recorded at Auckland's Red Bull Music Studios, Church aka Elijah Manu reckons “The sound is unlike anything we’ve ever put out to the world - this is the start of something different”. With a title like ‘Dandelion’ and cover art of a dandelion wristwatch, is this a comment on the shared childhood memory of using dandelion seeds to tell the time? Hopefully. Is the track super catchy, with a sick distorted bassline? Absolutely. If you’re in Tāmaki Makaurau this weekend, you can catch the pair supporting Do Not Disturb at Sweatshop Brew Kitchen on Sunday 2nd June before they jet off to the UK. Get hyped for Church & AP's album (title to be revealed) due out later this year, and listen to ‘Dandelion’ below…

Church & AP’s track ‘Dandelion’ is out now via Kartel Music Group.
