Iron & Wine And Calexico Share Collaborative Album 'Years To Burn'

Friday 14th June, 2019 10:32AM

Southern US artists Iron & Wine (aka Sam Beam) and recent Aotearoa visitors Calexico have put their heads together on Years To Burn (perhaps a rather on the nose reference to Calexico member Joey Burns?). It’s not the first time these heads have converged - they teamed up on mini-album In The Reins back in 2005, and have since racked up close to a dozen albums collectively before collaborating again. The latest LP was recorded over just five days at the legendary Sound Emporium, where the likes of Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers and John Denver have all laid down tracks. Take a trip to Nashville and get nostalgic for the childhood in the South you never had in Years To Burn

'Years To Burn' is out now via Sub Pop / Rhythmethod.
