Auckland's JJ Mist Drops Synth-Pop Album 'Communication'

Tāmaki Makaurau electronic pop songwriter and producer JJ Mist has unveiled Communication, a retro-infused collection of anthems drawing inspiration from such 80's cultural touchstones as Madonna (whose new record Madame X dropped last week) and Sade. JJ Mist absolutely hits the bullseye with Communication, delivering super catchy and passionate Ciccone-esque numbers including 'L.D.L.A.' (Long Distance Love Affair) and 'Operator' with considerable panache, over vibey neon-saturated synths and pulse-pounding vintage electronic drums. The album is currently sitting at the number two spot on Bandcamp's NZ charts (just below Aldous Harding) and we have a feeling JJ Mist would be awesome to catch live, wrap your ears around Communication here...
