Tāmaki Makaurau punks Miss June are on the rise, their ferocious live energy has shared the stage with such international heavyweights as Shellac, Idles and The Foo Fighters, and their infectious singles 'Twitch' and 'Best Girl' have set fire to local student radio airwaves over the past year. Fronted by singer / guitarist Annabel Liddel, the four-piece have thrown down the gauntlet with the announcement their previously teased debut album Bad Luck Party is dropping in early September via Frenchkiss Records, and they've revealed their latest anthem 'Enemies', a cacophonous and punchy track exploring the high-tension zone where where the personal meets the political. The new single's emotional whirlwind is complimented by a strobing and passionate clip directed by Dylan Pharazyn, who expanded on the ideas behind his visually destabilising video...

“The track gets at that feeling of instability in a relationship when there’s full on confusion around who your friends are or who you are... reality runs amok. I started to imagine this full throttle dream sequence in which a young couple bash through a bizarre night. As they find new places, they encounter strangers who at first seem normal become weird and dangerous creep characters… or ENEMIES. I felt like this erratic narrative had a powerful connection with the song - fast and heavy in a super off-kilter way.”
