Listen To Crone's Self-Titled Debut EP

Listen To Crone's Self-Titled Debut EP

Pōneke-based sci-fi goth duo crone, the collaborative project of Emily Berryman and Lucy Reid (who DJs as Lumen Lux), have unveiled an immersive three track collection of pulsing electronics and sub-bass spooking sonics, recorded in "the spectral confines of an old fish chiller." Originally hailing from Ōtepoti, the duo's self-titled debut EP envelops listeners in a darkly evocative sound-universe clocking in at over half an hour – deploying bone-rattling drones, half-formed sample snatches and doomy post-industrial textures to unnerving and intoxicating effect. We bet the EP sounds just as amazing in the club as through headphones, which should come as no surprise as Berryman and Reid are the co-founders of MESH, who've facilitated a crucial series of live events and monthly mixes, showcasing the work of innovative and adventurous dancefloor-adjacent artists from throughout Aotearoa. Experience crone in the near future at the dates below, and dive into a stream of their debut EP...
