Basement Blowout Announced Feat. Aw B, Half Queen, Mongo Skato, PG/VG
Tāmaki Makaurau's Basement Theatre is battening down the hatches for an earth-shaking club event, as local electronic dance mavericks Aw B, Half Queen, Mongo Skato and PG/VG are taking over the black box space for a one-night Basement Blowout party happening in early August. All artists operate at the bleeding edges of their respective fields – Aw B is founder of the Moments collective who recently hosted NYC innovators Discwoman, Half Queen brought the heat to Venus X's recent Auckland appearance and co-runs QTPOC prioritised club night FILTH with JessB, Mongo Skato has dropped searing tracks on such crucial collections as 2014's I Don't Give It, and power-techno-couple PG/VG features the considerable combined talents of Peach Milk and Green Grove.
