Secret Knives Returns With Single 'Snuff'

Secret Knives is back with a sparkling and sonically freewheeling slice of guitar-driven pop, sporting the name 'Snuff'. The project of Pōneke songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ash Smith, Secret Knives made serious waves with his ambitious bedroom-pop debut long-player Affection back in 2010, but we've barely heard a peep from the artist since, aside from a brief reemergence with 2017's My Capriccio EP. The effervescent yet world-weary new song features some talented contributors, with Cory Champion (Borrowed cs) on drums, Charlotte Forrester (Womb) providing backing vocals and James Goldsmith (producer of Beastwars' chart-topping new record IV) handling recording and engineering duties.
