Big Thief Announce Fourth Studio Album + Share Single 'Not'

It’s been all of three months since Big Thief released their third studio album, the joyous and heart breaking U.F.O.F., and they’re already bowling us over with another album announcement and a new single. The U.S. folk sensations barely waited a week before starting work on their fourth album Two Hands, which they expressed their excitement about online: "Our 4th record, Two Hands. (record oct11 on 4AD). we started making this the week after making ufof. it's hard to put into words how much this one means to us. we are so proud of it and we are so steamed up to share it with you all".

The first single is 'Not', with 'Not - Edit' tacked onto the release, and it's one of those Big Thief songs with a bubbling, fiery energy that builds up into a three-minute long, wailing guitar solo - which is lopped back to a mere 30 seconds in the edit. The release comes soon after Big Thief fans who ordered the U.F.O.F. vinyl were sent a mysterious 7” that is rumoured to feature the Two Hands title track.
