Auckland's Warm Leather Unleash 'Manic Static / Vocabulary' Single
Auckland trio Warm Leather, fronted by local legend Andrew Tolley (Bloodbags, The Hasslehof Experiment), have squeezed two hefty slabs of garage punk insanity onto one shiny 7" vinyl disc with their newly released 'Manic Static / Vocabulary' single. The former track slaps listeners in the chops with Tolley's wild howls atop of badass riffage and steamrolling grooves, while 'Vocabulary' ploughs into listeners' earholes with the intensity of a madman, intermittently exploding into a maelstrom of tangled strings and flailing limbs before reconvening for another round of aural pummelling. Warm Leather describe themselves as a "some kinda frenzied mess of Birthday Party stalk, Wire scratch, and Gordons punk grunt" and it would be dangerous to disagree. Wrap your ears around both tracks below and grab your own copy of the 7" (featuring awesome artwork by member MF Joyce) direct from the group's Bandcamp page...
'Manic Static / Vocabulary' is out now via Kato Records.
