Premiere: Echo Ohs Drop Single 'Wild Weeds' + Video
Tāmaki Makaurau garage-psych mainstays Echo Ohs are back with a mysterious video for their brand new single 'Wild Weeds', which we're stoked to premiere here today. The title track for their upcoming mini-album, 'Wild Weeds' was recorded at Darren McShane’s 24 track analogue Earwig Studios, pushing Echo Ohs swampy, cinematic sound into (slightly) more hi-fi territory without sacrificing any of their trademark slapback swirl. Filmed by Mason Fairey and edited by Echo Ohs’ own Yolanda Fagan (also of Na Noise), the video sees the band suspiciously exploring the countryside in search of a silver stone – as if your VHS tape of Under the Mountain grew up and moved to K’ Road. Wild Weeds is out on Friday 6th September via 1:12 Records – you can catch the trio tearing it up at their release party that night with Contenders, Te Huhu and Bib Kids at Whammy Bar...
You can stream Echo Ohs's new single 'Wild Weeds' right now now via Spotify.
