Listen To Jay Som's Sophomore Album 'Anak Ko'

A.K. / Friday 23rd August, 2019 11:03AM

Jay Som’s sophomore album is the tender, jangly culmination of a week spent alone in Joshua Tree, California. US songwriter Melina Duterte recorded, produced, engineered and mixed Anak Ko solo at her home, the same process she followed in creating her highly praised debut Everybody Works in 2017. Unlike last time, Duterte invited collaboration on this collection, with input from members of Chastity Belt, Boy Scouts and Vagabon on the record despite it’s title translating to "my child" in the Filipino dialect Tagalog, suggesting a level of intimacy and protectiveness over it’s treatment. Have a listen to the lovely Anak Ko...
