Watch Timothy Blackman's Video For 'By The River'
Pōneke songwriter Timothy Blackman last month unveiled 'By The River', the reflective lead single from Brightest Days, his first new album in eight years. Blackman has now shared a gorgeous video for the song directed by Hamish Waterhouse with cinematography by Bill Bycroft, complementing his meditative musings and tender sonics with evocative footage of the artist interacting with the remote landscape of the South Wairarapa. Recorded following Blackman's time in East Cape before returning to Wellington, tracks for Brightest Days were laid down in the Brooklyn apartment of first-time recording and mixing engineer Brooke Singer of French For Rabbits, who also contributed additional instrumentation and backing vocals for the collection.
