Watch Charli XCX's Video For '2099' Feat. Troye Sivan
British pop angel (and tea-making mastermind) Charli XCX has shared a visually stunning clip for her track ‘2099’. The tune features South African-born Australian artist (and recent visitor to our shores) Troye Sivan and is a sequel to the duo’s collaborative hit ‘1999’ - both of which are lifted from XCX’s third studio album Charli. The clip was directed by filmmaking duo Bradly&Pablo and sees the pop-loving pair riding jetskis with steep cliffs and a burning boat in the background, while the sounds of glimmering, futuristic synthesisers flutter about their smokey vocal inclinations. In the clip’s description, XCX described the creative process as forming when she “WENT TO THE FUTURE WITH TROYE SIVAN AND 2099 WAS BORN”. Take a quantum leap into ‘2099’ below...
'Charli' is out now via Asylum / Atlantic.
