Christchurch's Zane 2000 Drops Robo-Rock Single 'I Copy'

F. / Thursday 19th September, 2019 2:25PM

Christchurch's Zane 2000 aka Jonty O’Connor (Zen Mantra, The Midimaster) has shared a beat-driven, future-shocked slice of robo-pop titled ‘I COPY’. The lead track from his forthcoming debut Computer Rock EP is a herald of the cybernetic apocalypse, invoking visions of Skynet-esque terrors in a binary code wasteland. The tune was mixed by Tyrone Frost (Kamandi) and explores the idea that “the tipping point of computer intelligence has already been passed,” with the artist adding “god mourns for the failed human experiment as her children become cogs in the machine, in the dawning of the new age. It is a hyper-paranoid vision of the future.” Experience 'I COPY' here...

'Computer Rock' EP releases on Thursday 3rd October.
