Lontalius 'All I Have' Album Release Show Announced

C.C. / Thursday 10th October, 2019 10:00AM

Pōneke bedroom pop hero Lontalius is playing an intimate Tāmaki Makaurau release party at Whammy Backroom for his sophomore album All I Have, which has already garnered significant international acclaim since releasing late last week. Created with the goal of wanting "someone to hear my music at 3am and feel something," the disarmingly emotional All I Have features collaborative cuts with Grammy Award-winning producer Om’Mas Keith (Frank Ocean, Jay Z, Sun Ra) and Jim Fairchild of Grandaddy and Modest Mouse. Eddie Johnston will be accompanied by full band including Alex Freer (A.C. Freazy, Tiny Ruins) and Tom Healy (Tiny Ruins) for the occasion – as Backroom's capacity is limited we highly recommend you snap up your tickets as soon as possible...

Press release:

Lontalius returns to Auckland with a full band to celebrate the release of his new album, All I Have.

The sophomore album from Pōneke songwriter Lontalius, aka Eddie Johnston, takes the disarming bedroom-pop from his stunning 2016 debut I’ll Forget 17 and shifts it into high definition, crystal clear focus. All I Have is a natural step into more adventurous, layered instrumentation, and a new twist on the heart break and hopeless romanticism of his debut.

All I Have was created in LA, where Johnston worked alongside Grammy award winning producer Om’Mas Keith (Frank Ocean, Jay-Z) and musician Jim Fairchild (Grandaddy, Modest Mouse), setting out with the vision of wanting "someone to hear my music at 3am and feel something" in the same way he did listening to Drake in his bedroom as a teen.

For this one-off album release show, Johnston will be joined by an all-star band featuring Alex Freer (A.C. Freazy, Tiny Ruins) and Tom Healy (Tiny Ruins).
