Tamaki Makaurau's Alae have dropped an excellent clip for their soulful new song ‘Hit Me Where It Hurts’, created by five (!) different New Zealand directors: Chris Graham, Greg Page, Alexander Gandar, Petra Cilbich and Charlotte Evans. In a cinematic version of the Exquisite Corpse drawing game, each director pulled parts of the song and created content without the knowledge of the other’s contributions. While this process might sound as though it has the potential to create a disjoined slice of confusion, ‘Hit Me Where It Hurts’ is the polar opposite – flowing seamlessly and expertly complimenting the forward-facing vocal line, while also distinctly changing flavour throughout. Experience the audio-visual odyssey below...

'Hit Me Where It Hurts' is out now via Spotify, Apple Music and iTunes.
