Tāmaki Makaurau's Shoddy Unveil Single 'Hiding Like Hades'
Grungy, psychedelic and dynamic Tāmaki Makaurau group Shoddy have a wailing new single out in the weeks before embarking on a national tour. ‘Hiding Like Hades’ is the latest drop to be released through local imprint Arcade Recordings, helmed by Rohan Evans of The Wine Cellar, who are also taking the reins on Shoddy's upcoming album Someday We’ll Fix It, due for a Halloween release. Lead vocalist and guitarist Witchy Dugdale howls cryptic lines, “I'm like old Elvis, an impersonation of myself” and “My privacy is all wrapped up in plastic”, over killer, haphazard instrumentation from bassist Toby King, drummer Thomas Pembroke and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Pickstone. If you didn’t have plans for Halloween, now you do, as Shoddy kick off their album release tour in Auckland on Thursday 31st October…
