Blind Boy Paxton New Zealand Tour Announced
US bluesman Jerron "Blind Boy" Paxton is making a welcome return to Aotearoa this coming February, to treat local fans to an extensive eight-date nationwide tour, following the success of his 2018 NZ tour when he performed alongside UK sibling trio Kitty, Daisy & Lewis. Armed with a bevy of tunes new and old, the venerated singer and multi-instrumentalist draws on his family's rich southern roots to faithfully conjure the pre-WWII spirit of blues, folk, jazz and bluegrass for modern ears. Hailed by The Wall Street Journal as "virtually the only music-maker of his generation — playing guitar, banjo, piano and violin, among other implements — to fully assimilate the blues idiom of the 1920s and '30s, the blues of Bessie Smith and Lonnie Johnson" – you don't want to miss Blind Boy Paxton at the dates below...

“Jerron “Blind Boy” Paxton is, in the words of The Wall Street Journal, “virtually the only music-maker of his generation — playing guitar, banjo, piano and violin, among other implements — to fully assimilate the blues idiom of the 1920s and ’30s.” This storyteller and deeply talented multi-instrumentalist will captivate with his musical literacy and authentic blues.”
